Hello Academy members !
Thank you for being part of my world. Here's a bit about me:
I'm from a small town in WA State, halfway between Seattle and Portland.
I've spent 42 years as a full-time hairdresser. Born and raised in WA, I never strayed far from home. My Dad was a contractor/land developer , my mother was a interior designer, I grew up with the smell of sawdust and wallpaper, blueprints and hammers !
I also worked part-time as a licensed designer, creating papier-mâché and clay figurines for several Gift companies , and this even led me as a designer traveling to China devoloping Licensed figurines for several companies .
I sold my licensed work at gift markets nationwide, meeting many wonderful people. After juggling two jobs and raising small kids, I decided to focus on one. However, at 36 I suddenly lost my mother, then just two short years later I lost my dad , mother in law and grandmother , all this left me unable to create art ! I really didnt think I would ever be able to feel happy again ! When you are in such a dark place the last thing you feel like doing is creating ART!
A friend saw me sprialing , she enrolled me in a soldering class with Sally Jean , I did not want to go , and I certainly didn't want to learn to make Jewelry ! That day revived my passion for art. I walked into her studio like a kid walking into Disneyland ! it was the most Beautiful Studio I had ever seen !
Here I am now Twenty years later, making jewelry and sculpting , Traveling the World sharing my love with others.
If I can impact one life, I've succeeded.

PLEASE CHECK your Paypal email before you fill out a lost workshop ! I’m always surprised how many don't ever check their email attached to PayPal
